Aeris Wants to Jumpstart Your IoT Plans

Aeris Communications, www.aeris.com, in partnership with Tech Mahindra,www.techmahindra.com, have announced its Jumpstart IoT service solution, which provides the blueprint for mobile operators to build a scalable and profitable IoT business.
With the M2M and IoT market expected to grow exponentially in the next few years, Aeris and Tech Mahindra will help operators service a wider customer base and increase the share of enterprise M2M and IoT spend by as much as 300% with connectivity services alone, according to the companies.
The companies say Jumpstart IoT expands operator service offerings to include packaged applications in verticals such as fleet, asset tracking, insurance, and others.
Looking to tackle the challenges that currently exist in the space, Jumpstart IoT addresses the following elements: locally deployed technology platform for delivering managed device connectivity services; a wide range of field tested vertical applications; specialized system operations and support services; go-to-market planning support services; and Internet-scale device data and analytics services infrastructure.
This new partnership with Tech Mahindra highlights Aeris’ value proposition including Aeris GSP, which makes it possible for all device, customer, and billing data to remain in the operator’s home country, and AerCloud, which uses Big Data and data sharing to allow operators to grow revenue beyond simple connected services.
While this is one recent example, many M2M/IoT companies are working to make it easier to build a scalable and profitable IoT business.
