Cellular data service from Aeris creates total business solution
April 16, 2014 – LaFox, Illinois: Richardson RFPD, Inc. today announced that the CloudGate M2M gateway from Option has been selected by Simply Home, LLC (“SimplyHome”) to provide, in conjunction with Aeris Communications (“Aeris”) cellular service, 3G coverage to all its customers.
SimplyHome designs and installs in-home, wireless technology to enable independent living for aging and disabled populations. By replacing multiple fixed internet lines connected to the SimplyHome system with a 3G cellular connection on CloudGate, SimplyHome is able to eliminate costly wired internet service. And by combining the CloudGate gateway with the aggressively-priced plans from Aeris, SimplyHome is able to have one portal and a fixed cost for all their customers, regardless of location.
CloudGate’s multi-network capability means that it uses the best Aeris network coverage (GSM or CDMA) at the particular location of each customer.

The new CloudGate M2M 3G gateway provides competitively priced LAN-to-WWAN routing and GPS functionality in a single basic unit. It is certified on all major US cellular operators (CDMA/EV-DO and WCDMA/HSPA+). The CloudGate automatically resolves problems associated with wireless M2M connectivity and incorporates two hardware expansion slots for additional interfaces.
