Automotive Intern 2014

Business Administration, emphasis in finance and marketing

University of Southern California

Why did you decide to intern for Aeris?

It seemed like an interesting company and it was in the general industry I hope to work in.

Describe your favorite project.

I researched a few different B2B solutions for my team’s project, made contacts, worked on quotes, and provided a report with options and data on the service provided and prices.

What did you gain from your experience?

I learned about business communication and protocol, and how to carry myself as a professional. I felt very young and unprepared when I started; I worried that people would not take me seriously. However, I realized quickly that if you set the pace and tone of the discussions and relationships you are a part of, people will follow in suit.

What is your favorite internship memory?

I was pulled into a meeting with my boss and other executives and asked to give a report on what I had been researching. It was nerve racking but it wasn’t a test, they genuinely needed to know what I had to say and also wanted my opinion. It made me feel good to be prepared for something and be able to assist others with my knowledge.

How are you connected with the people at Aeris (what do you have in common with one or any of your colleagues/fellow interns?

Another intern and one of the employees attended the same university as me and many of the employees are from the same region of California as me.
