Why did you decide to intern for Aeris?
I chose to work for Aeris because they have an established intern program that really works to give you a fulfilling summer internship experience. Aeris is also an exciting company to work for because it is constantly working on cutting-edge technology and every day I learn something new. On top of this, because Aeris isn’t a huge corporation, you are able to see how all departments in a company function together and really feel like you are a part of the Aeris team.
Describe your favorite project.
My favorite project was a process improvement project I did for the finance department. I got to analyze the existing method for selling and shipping SIM cards and then come up with a realistic solution to make this process smoother and more efficient. This project helped me to develop a broad range of skills and the results of my efforts were tangible.
What did you gain from your experience?
Interning at Aeris taught me a lot about the role that finance plays in the overall scheme of a company. I was able to apply the skills I have learned in my classes to real life scenarios that helped me to gain a deeper understanding of finance. I also learned a lot about what I like to do as a professional which has helped me decide what career I want to pursue.
What is your favorite internship memory?
Go Karting with the whole company! Sitting across from one of the coolest and chillest girls from Philly – Rafiat!
How are you connected with the people at Aeris (what do you have in common with one or any of your colleagues/fellow interns?)
Aeris employees are all intelligent and motivated professionals, and because of this, working with the Aeris team has been a pleasure. People at Aeris are very helpful and I have received a ton of guidance from my numerous mentors at this company. I have also made friendships with numerous employees here at Aeris that I will definitely maintain even after I leave.
