Aeris Announces GetWireless Wins First Customers’ Choice Award

Voting took place at Aeris’ booth during CTIA Super Mobility Week 2014

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – September 15, 2014 – Aeris, the Made for Machines™ technology and service provider, today announced that GetWireless has won the Aeris Customers’ Choice Award, following the 2014 CTIA Super Mobility Week conference that recently took place in Las Vegas, Nevada. GetWireless is a partner of Aeris focused on delivering innovative 3G and 4G M2M solutions.

Aeris partners were given the opportunity to showcase their innovative products at Aeris’ booth during the CTIA conference. Attendees of the conference were then encouraged to vote for the product they thought would have the greatest potential to further the M2M market in the coming years.

“We are honored to have won the Customers’ Choice Award from our partners at Aeris for our work with the nano-WIPOM,” said Tom Hoyt, Director of Business Development of GetWireless. “At GetWireless, we have been providing our resale partners with the best in hardware and M2M solutions, and this award helps to further validate our efforts. We look forward to our continued work with Aeris.”

GetWireless distributes a select portfolio of cellular-based gateways, routers, modems and terminals from industry-leading manufacturers like Sierra Wireless (AirLink), Option NV, and Xirgo Technologies. They specialize in products that offer voice and data connectivity by leveraging the cellular networks.

The nano-WiPOM solution is an efficient, economical replacement for PC’s and PLC’s at remote sites in which monitoring, data logging, and SCADA occur. It is a highly-configurable wireless platform with plug and play peripherals, I/O connectivity, and an on-board processor. It is also ideal for solar/battery powered applications and can be leveraged as an expansion card for the Option CloudGate gateway or an external add-on board for Sierra Wireless AirLink gateways.

“At Aeris, we work with a wide range of partners, whether in healthcare, automotive or utilities, and believe strongly in the work of collaboration in delivering M2M solutions that allow customers to optimize their business,” said Annette Evans, director of channel management of Aeris. “Through the company’s work in developing technology that paves the way for partners to expand their reach and the continued efforts to advance the M2M and IoT markets, we are confident that nano-WIPOM will do well as these industries see sustained growth in the coming years.”

In addition to this announcement, GetWireless will also be featured in an upcoming blog on the Aeris website (http://blog.aeris.com) and through subsequent company announcements to various contacts.
